Edwin L. Harvey's Obituary
Edwin Lammert Harvey, age 78, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2006, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. He was born May 10, 1928 in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Edwin A. and Anna E. (Lammert) Harvey.
Mr. Harvey retired from the Baltimore City Police Department as a Sergeant after serving the City for 22 years. He was a member of the FOP, Baltimore City Lodge #3 and a 32nd Degree Mason with the Millington Lodge #166 AF and AM, Catonsville, MD. He was a member of the American Legion Post #17, Lewes and he was a former member and Past President of the Lewes Lions Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Edwin R. Harvey in 1980.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wilhelmina D. Harvey; a granddaughter, Gina and her husband Robert O'Brien, Jr. of Bel Air, MD; a grandson, Joseph Borzymowski III of Forest Hills, MD; and by his daughter-in-law Mary Borzymowski of Forest Hill, MD.
Delaware arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, where friends may call on Tuesday, September 19, 7-9 PM. Maryland arrangements are being handled by SCHIMUNEK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 9705 Bel Air Road at Forge Road, where friends may call on Wednesday, September 20, 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 21, 10 AM at the SCHIMUNEK FUNERAL HOME, INC. Burial will follow at the Parkwood Cemetery, 3310 Taylor Avenue, Parkville, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial & Honors Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
