Edward J. Sarnocinski's Obituary
Edward J. Sarnocinski, age 88, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, died on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his late residence. He was born in Chester, PA on September 29, 1922, son of the late Adalbert and Mary (Naspinska) Sarnocinski.
Mr. Sarnocinski began his work career following the war as a Chester Police Officer and later worked for the railroad, before taking a position as an operator for over 35 years with British Petroleum. He was a member of St. Edmond's Catholic Church, a WW II Army veteran, and member of the VFW and American Legion in Rehoboth Beach; and he was a member of the Elks Lodge, Lewes, DE.
He was preceded in death by his wife Helen H. Sarnocinski in August of 2003.
He is survived by his son Edward John Sarnocinski and his wife Helaine Karen of Summerfield, NC; his daughter Kathleen Fegley and husband Mahlon of Newark, DE; grandsons: Jeffrey Fegley of Columbus, OH and PFC Matthew Alexander Sarnocinski (US Army) and his wife Heather of Summerfield, NC; a granddaughter Colleen DePaul and her husband Eric of Elkton, MD; great-granddaughters: Paige and Sydnie DePaul; and his dear friend June Hunt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 7, 2011, at 12:00 PM, at St. Edmond's Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE where friends may call at the church one hour prior to Mass.
Burial with military honors will follow the Mass at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Edmond's Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
