Edward F. DaSilva's Obituary
Edward F. DaSilva, age 69 of Lewes, DE, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at his home. He was born Sunday, July 25, 1948 in Newark, NJ, son of Bettye (Trew) DaSilva and the late Francisco G. DaSilva.
Mr. DaSilva was a proud USMC Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War Era. He retired from Verizon after a 45 year, lifelong career with them. Mr. DaSilva's patriotism continued through his years with his membership in the American Legion. His most cherished memories were that of family and friends, and his loyal canine companion, Lily. He was a loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his mother, Mr. DaSilva is survived by his sister, Mary L. Brown and her husband Ronald of NJ; his nephew, Jeffrey Brown of NJ; his niece, Karen Kolbeck of NJ; his five great-nephews; and one grandson.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Mr. DaSilva's memory to the Delaware Humane Association: 18675 Coastal Highway; Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
