Edward Leon Cline's Obituary
Edward Leon Cline Sr., age 89 of Lewes, DE, formerly of Hockessin, DE, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Harbor Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. He was born on July 6, 1930 in Mount Crawford, VA, son of the late Roy and Gertrude (Supinger) Cline.
Mr. Cline was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the US Navy. He worked in maintenance for the Veterans Hospital in Wilmington, retiring after 20 dedicated years. Mr. Cline was a longtime volunteer of various fire companies, including Minquas, Hockessin, and Rehoboth Beach. He enjoyed his time with these fire companies, as well as with the fire police. Above all, Mr. Cline cherished time spent with those he held most dear. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cline was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stacie E. Cline. He is survived by his son, Edward L. Cline, Jr. of Middletown, DE; his daughters: Deborah Sarley of Lewes, DE, Lois Currie of Dover, DE, Cindy Dobson of St. Croix, VI, and Iva Soja of Hartly, DE; his 11 grandchildren; and his 19 great-grandchildren.
