Edna Merle Reuther's Obituary
Edna Merle Reuther, age 88, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her children on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at her home in Lewes, DE. She was born Long Beach, NJ on February 1, 1927, daughter of the late Harvey and Edna (Goensch) Hyde.
Merle graduated from Monmouth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing embarking on a career as a Registered Nurse in NJ and later in Wilmington, DE.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Reuther in 2000. Merle is survived by 3 sons, Robert M Reuther, Jr and his wife Holly O’Heir Reuther of Wilmington, DE; Eric Reuther and his wife Joanne Reuther of Lewes, DE; Kurt Reuther and his wife Pam Reuther of Harbeson, DE; 1 daughter, Melissa Scott and her husband Duke Scott of Kennett Square, PA; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
The family will hold a private service and asks that well-wishers make donations to Delaware Hospice, 100Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 in lieu of flowers.
