Edmund Paprocki's Obituary
Edmund Paprocki, age 93, of Lewes, DE passed away on Friday, April 03, 2015, at his residence. He was born Saturday, January 21, 1922 in the Bronx, NY, son of the late Joseph Paprocki and Staphonia (Sosnowski) Paprocki.
Mr. Paprocki served his country proudly with the US Army and was a Pearl Harbor survivor serving with the 24th Infantry Division. He enjoyed a longtime career as a postal carrier enjoying the many conversations he had with those on his route.
Mr. Paparocki loved cooking, he especially enjoyed Thursday's which were soup day. He would prepare delicious soups for family and friends to enjoy. Mr. Paprocki loved preparing meals for family and friends and the joy his meals would bring to their faces. He loved hosting large parties, a jokester at heart, he entertained everyone with his many stories. Mr. Paprocki was a member of the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge #2540 and the VFW Rehoboth Beach Post #7447.
Mr. Paprocki is survived by his wife of nearly 51 years, Anna M. H. Paprocki of Lewes, DE; 2 daughters, Gretchen Paprocki; Stephanie Myers; 2 step-children, Michael B. Howington; Jeri Lyn Derr; 3 grandchildren, Richard R. Morris and his wife Megan; Roy Edward Derr; Ryan E. Derr and his wife Priscilla and 8 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call beginning at 11 AM. Interment with Military Honors will be held at 2 PM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19963.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19963.
