Edgar "Ed" S. Seeds' Obituary
Edgar "Ed" S. Seeds, Jr. age 70 of Lewes, DE passed away on Monday, June 9, 2014, after a two year battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born on July 25, 1943 in Mount Holly, NJ, son of Marie Seeds and the late Edgar S. Seeds, Sr.
Ed enjoyed a lifelong career as a Linesman at GPU Energy in Cookstown, NJ, retiring in 1998. He was a member of IBEW Local #456 and was very involved in the Elks Lodge #2457 in New Egypt, NJ, where he was a past Exalted Ruler and maintained his membership locally at the Lewes Elks Lodge #2540 totaling 44 membership years.
He was a motorcycle enthusiast who loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles. He rode cross country several times and visited all the large bike events on the way and up and down the east coast. He enjoyed camping with his family and hosting spectacular parties at their house, aka 'The Seeds Bed & Breakfast.' Ed was known as one of the best friends you could ever have and will always be remembered for his love, smile and his unexpected quick witted humor which all stayed with him up until the very end.
Beth Duffy bragged she won “The Husband Lottery” after meeting Ed sixteen years ago at the Rusty Rudder on a Friday afternoon in April. Ed was the most dedicated and thoughtful husband, everything he did was with his wife and family in mind. Nothing made him happier than to do something special for her or to share a special time together. His unconditional love, devotion, and passion will live on forever.
