Earl L. Slack's Obituary
Earl L. Slack, Jr., age 62, of Georgetown, DE, passed away Monday, June 1, 2009, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. He was born December 6, 1946 in Baltimore, MD, son of the late Earl L. Slack, Sr. and Thekla C. Slack of Maryland.
Mr. Slack enjoyed a long career as a construction inspector for Baltimore County, MD.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Margaret A. (Carr) Slack; a son Eric L. Slack of New Windsor, MD; a brother Paul C. Slack of Columbia, MD; two sisters-in-law Mary McCarty and husband Tim and Gerry Shepherd and husband Ray; and two nephews, Jeremiah P. Slack and John H. McCarty.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, June 5, 11:00 AM at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Dodd-Carey Chapel, 307 North Bedford Street, Georgetown, DE where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM (www.parsellfuneralhomes.com) Entombment will be on Monday, June 8, 11:00 AM at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, 2150 Mount View Road, Marriottsville, MD where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mattlind Way, Milford, DE 19963.
