E. Kay Buckner Spence's Obituary
Kay Buckner Spence, age 89 of Rehoboth Beach, DE, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, in Lewes, DE. Born in Baltimore, MD in 1933, she was the daughter of the late David and Lucille Buckner.
Kay enjoyed her career as a licensed clinical social worker, first at Sheppard Pratt Institute, then for some 25 years in private practice. In addition to her work, she rejoiced in many friends and was a superb bridge player, an extraordinary cook, and an adventurous traveler.
Kay is survived by her partner, Nancy Hultquist; her brother, Eric Land Buckner (Shelley Mazur); and her niece, Beth Buckner Denes and family.
Services are private.
