E. Josephine Branford's Obituary
E. Josephine Branford, age 83, of Brandywine Assisted Living, Rehoboth Beach, DE died Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at The Arbors Nursing Home, New Castle, DE.
Miss Branford was a former teacher in the Indian River School District from which she retired in 1979. Prior to that she had taught in the public schools of Baltimore, MD. She had been the director of the Mt. Vernon Place Community Center in Baltimore and was a Director of Religious Education at Grace United Methodist Church of Baltimore.
Miss Branford was an active member of the Epworth United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Chancel Choir and the United Methodist Women. She worked as a volunteer for the Delaware Hospice, Southern Division and as a volunteer for the Rehoboth Beach Public Library.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. Harry V. Branford. Rev. Branford had been a minister in the Peninsula Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Graveside services will be held Thursday September 15, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Epworth United Methodist Cemetery, Rehoboth Beach, DE with the Rev. Jack Abel officiating. The 11:00 A.M. service on Sunday September 18, 2005 at Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach, DE will be dedicated to the memory of Miss Branford.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Epworth United Methodist Church, 20 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971 or to Delaware Hospice, 600 N. DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
