Dorothy E. White's Obituary
On Friday September 9 in the early evening, Dorothy E. White passed away at Manor House surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy White was born Dorothy Edith Crockett on October 15, 1927 in Washington, DC, daughter of Samuel S. and Helen M. Crockett.
Dorothy and her husband retired in Bethany Beach, Delaware thirty years ago. While William was active in Bethany Beach government, Dorothy was active in the Bethany Beach Women’s Club, a member of the Bethany Beach Watercolor Society and a volunteer with the town’s History Museum. Dorothy was an accomplished artist who donated some of her artwork to the town of Bethany Beach.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband, William F. White.
She is survived by her two sons, Jay White and his wife Janie from Dagsboro, DE and David White and his wife Jennifer from Colorado Springs, CO; and her daughter Pamela DiOrio and her husband Alfred. She is also survived by her grandsons Robert and James White; her granddaughters Megan Logan, Heather White, and Christina Frost; and her great-granddaughter, Gabby White.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 1pm at Manor House, 1001 Middleford Road, Seaford, DE 19939. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Georgetown, SPCA Sussex Chapter, 22918 DuPont Blvd, Georgetown, DE 19947.
