Dorothy Pauline Reichert's Obituary
Dorothy Reichert, of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and formerly of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, in the loving presence of her family. She was 95.
Dot was born May 25, 1930, to the late Susan (Brokup) and Blaise Pezick in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania. The family later moved to Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, where Dot graduated from high school. She later lived in Havertown, Pennsylvania, while raising her family. When the children were grown, Dot began a career in banking; she started as a teller at Girard Trust Bank, advancing to the position of bank manager at Girard Bank.
She is survived by her former husband and lifelong companion, John Reichert, and their five children: Bonita Jarvis (Donald) of Coatesville, Pennsylvania; Cheryl Hostetler (Charley Mowday) of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware; Lynn Reichert of Georgetown, Delaware; Paul Reichert (Melinda) of Seabeck, Washington; and Bruce Reichert (Deb) of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Also surviving are her brother, George Pezick of Springfield, Pennsylvania, as well as her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Dot was an excellent cook, and she enjoyed gardening, shopping, and spending time with family. She was a giving person of great personal strength and integrity.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Parsell Funeral Homes Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, Delaware. A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
