Doris G. Dohner's Obituary
Doris Geraldine Dohner of Georgetown, Delaware (formerly Annville, Pennsylvania) passed away peacefully on November 28, 2024. Doris, known to most as “Nan”, was born on October 19, 1933, to parents Raymond and Mary (Krall) Peiffer in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Doris married Clarence “Ben” Dohner (preceding her in death) on November 19, 1955. Doris and Ben had two children, Douglas Scott Dohner and Dawn Marie Breidigan. Doris spent most of her life as a homemaker on her and Ben’s farm in South Annville Township. Doris loved being on her farm. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and animals from the comfort of her “watchbox”.
Doris and Ben were well-known names in the Lebanon and Dauphin County areas through their connections of their business ventures. Doris’ favorite things in life were taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were all shown a tremendous amount of unconditional love. When she wasn’t with a family member, she could be watching any show on the Game Show Network or the Philadelphia Phillies. Doris also had an insatiable love for bingo and blackjack. For those that knew Doris best, she was always very quick-witted and generous.
Doris is preceded in death by both parents; her husband, Ben; her siblings: brother Donald Peiffer (spouse - Amelia), brother Clair Peiffer, sister Christine DeFrank (spouse - Patsy), and sister Margaret Barb (spouse - John).
Doris is survived by both children, Douglas Scott Dohner and Dawn Marie Breidigan (spouse - Anthony Bennett); sister - Marilyn Shearer (spouse - Aaron); grandchildren Casey Albert (spouse - Ryan), Timothy Breidigan, and Scott Dohner; great-grandchildren - Brooklyn Albert and Lainey Albert; step great-grandchildren - Rylan Albert and Quinn Albert; and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Doris’ wishes, she chose not to have any services. The immediate family will be hosting a celebration of life in 2025, with details to follow closer to that time
