Donna Lee Whitridge's Obituary
Donna Whitridge, age 61 of Selbyville, DE, passed away on July 30, 2023, in the place she loved the most, surrounded by her family. She was born in May of 1962, in Baltimore, MD, daughter of B. Jean Lembach and the late Edward Allen Lembach Sr.
Earning her bachelor’s degree, Donna worked as a software engineer while raising her three children. One would often find her riding her bike, kayaking, staying busy working in her yard, tending to her flowers, walking her dog, working out at the gym, or walking and socializing with her group of friends who dubbed themselves ‘The Band’. Always an active participant in her community, she gave her time often by donating blood, packing meals for those less fortunate, volunteering at local runs with her running group, among many others.
Donna was an excellent cook and was often in the kitchen trying new recipes, keeping the fridge fully stocked for her family. During the holidays, she would let her sweet tooth take over, baking dozens of cookies and sharing bags of reindeer tracks with her family and friends, which everyone will miss greatly. Above all, time spent with those she loved is what she cherished most. Donna was a loving and devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Loved by many, she will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know her.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, John Whitridge, IV; her sons: John Clifford Whitridge, V and Christopher Edward Whitridge; her daughter, Stephanie Nicole Whitridge; her mother, B. Jean Lembach; and her brother, Edward “Allen” Lembach, Jr.
She knew a lot of love was always being sent her way from the hospice care family, doctors and social workers. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to all of them.
Honoring her last wishes, Donna will be laid to rest alongside her father and other family members who have passed at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, MD
