Donna Smith Hurst's Obituary
Donna Smith Hurst, 60, Died April 1st at her childhood home in Lewes with her parents and brother’s family in attendance after a long battle with cancer. She was born at Ft. Knox, KY, and after leaving home she lived in Townsend and Hartley DE.
She is survived by her parents, cousins, brother, and the love of her life her two nephews whom she adored. She enjoyed playing with them as much as possible. Her husband Alex Hurst Preceded her in death.
Donna graduated from Cape Henlopen high School in 1981. Two of her many jobs was with the DMV and Valor Arabian stables. Donna enjoyed showing her horses in English and western competition and in Carriage competition. In recent years she has been active in the Delmarva Driving Club.
She did not wish to have a funeral; however, if you wish to make a contribution to honor her life, you can do so to the following:
