Donna Maria Hogan's Obituary
Donna Maria Hogan, 70, of Bridgeville, DE, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Born on September 28, 1954, in Concordia, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Joy Lee (Phillips) Powers. Donna proudly served her country in the United States Navy for seven and a half years of active duty.
She pursued higher education and completed several college courses, continuing a lifelong passion for learning. Donna married the love of her life, Don K. Hogan, in Jacksonville, Florida, and together they shared a life filled with love, creativity, and resilience.
Throughout her life, Donna worked in a variety of fields, including steelwork and road construction, where she was admired for her dedication and strong work ethic. Beyond her professional life, she was a woman of many talents and interests. She was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi and a gifted seamstress, woodcrafter, artist, cook, and jewelry maker.
Donna is survived by her devoted husband, Don Hogan; several nieces and nephews; and an adopted niece and nephew who held a special place in her heart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her youngest nephew, Mickie Rae of Georgia.
