I will miss you Donna I will miss her long talks if we had that last for 2 hours and I'd say I had to go and she would say wait one minute have more to tell you so I waited one more minute and that one more minute turned into an hour she sure was a talker. I know you're happy now because you're up there with your mom and dad and Butch. I will cherish the memories I have of you. Until we meet again rest in peace my beautiful niece love you and truly miss you.
Saddened and sorry to hear of Donna's passing. We had a lot of fun as leaders in Boy Scouts with Pack 1 and Troop 2540. Our condolences go out to the family. Will and Heather Sullivan
Donna and I loved to laugh about growing up before cell phones and streaming music. We'd spend hours listening to a stack of 45's in our rooms talking and playing games. We could talk for hours about nothing and play game after game of gin, trouble or water works and be happy as clams. If we were sleeping over, when it was time to go home we'd walk to the halfway point at the corner and say goodbye. I remember one time my dad came out 3 times looking for me over the course of an hour and we were still talking!
Before we got our drivers license, we'd walk the neighborhood in the evenings, talking up a storm and hoping someone we knew would drive by. Donna liked to talk about the time we were doing our usual walk when suddenly we were grabbed from behind. We screamed and hugged each other, completely helpless. Looming over us was her brother Joe, who had been out jogging, smiling and telling us how pathetic we were. He admonished us for not paying attention and being such an easy target for getting snatched into a van. He jogged on shaking his head while we stood there and laughed, grateful for her watchful big brother Joe.
I always treasure the memories of growing up in Long Point together, the long phone calls and the adventures we had over the years. Miss you already. Till we meet again...
We're going to miss you Donna!
