Donald R. Snyder's Obituary
Donald Richard Snyder, age 69, of Lewes, DE, passed away on Sunday, July 9, at his residence. He was born September 19, 1936 in Hamburg, PA, son of the late Arlene (Reitz) Snyder and Arlan Snyder of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Snyder owned and operated an insurance agency for 40 years in the Reading, PA area. He was a former President and former Captain of the Muhlenberg Ambulance Association in Reading, PA. He was also a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary for over 20 years. He was very active with the Masonic Lodge #549 in Reading. He and his wife moved to Delaware in 1996. He joined the Lutheran Church of Our Savior where he was a member of the Stewardship Committee and Men's Bible Study Class.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife Patricia Snyder; two daughters, Kimberly Snyder of St. Petersburg, FL and Leslie Snyder of Reading, PA; two sons, Christopher Snyder of Reading and Scott Snyder of Drexel Hill, PA; and five grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Lutheran Church of Our Service at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 7 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
