Donald Kevin Reynolds III, 50, born in Seneca, South Carolina, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Bridgeville, Delaware, on January 11, 2025. Born on August 8, 1973, Donald was the beloved son of Karen Louise King, PhD, and Donald Kevin Reynolds Jr.
Donald grew up in Plano, Texas where he later earned his GED and went on to build a career as a carpenter and handyman. Known for his craftsmanship and willingness to help those in need, Donald enjoyed working on building projects, fixing things around the house, and lending a hand to neighbors. He took great pride in his work and was often the go-to person for friends and family in need of assistance.
A lover of board games and card games, Donald was especially fond of challenging his mother in a friendly game of Scrabble. He had a warm and generous spirit, and his laughter and competitive spirit were a cherished part of his family gatherings. He was very close to his stepfather, Robert James King and they enjoyed building multiple projects together.
Donald was deeply devoted to his pets, and he was very close to his stepfather, Robert James King, with whom he found great joy in building multiple projects together. His caring nature extended beyond his family and home, and he will be remembered for the kindness he showed to all who crossed his path.
He is survived by his parents, Karen L. King, PhD, and Donald Kevin Reynolds Jr.; his sister, Tara Dawn Reynolds, who serves in the Military Sealift Command; his stepfather, Robert James King; and a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Donald’s warmth, laughter, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Donald’s memory to the ASPCA, a cause he held close to his heart.
