To the entire Kimsey family, I send my deepest condolences on Don’s passing, along with some of the most joyous of memories with him. Don was my baseball coach, mentor, and reliable source of positivity and light heartedness on and off the field. Constants I could always rely on were Don’s ability to make light of any negative situation, and his love and passion to teach and turn young kids who played baseball into the best baseball players they could be. His love for the game was only superseded by his passion to teach and educate young baseball players on all aspects of the game. Let’s remind ourselves: we all should celebrate his life, his existence, and all the time we each had with him! If life were a baseball game, Don just coached a World Series team, and won.
