Donald W. Kane's Obituary
Donald W. Kane, age 80. of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Renaissance Healthcare. He was born in Hockendauqua, PA, on Monday, October 20, 1930 son of the late William M. and Katie M. (Kreglow) Kane.
A resident of Lewes for the past 8 years, Donald relocated here after retiring to FL from PA. He proudly served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Ametek- U.S. Gauge Division of Sellersville, PA in 1990 as a supervisor. He spent many years coaching youth baseball in PA and was an avid Phillies and Eagles Fan. He was a life member of the American Legion and a 60 year member of the Quakertown, PA Masonic Lodge # 512. He attended First Baptist Church of Lewes, DE.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Catherine M.(Engler) Kane of Lewes; two sons: Michael D. Kane and wife Lynn of Valparaiso, FL and Patrick J. Kane of Breinigsville, PA; one daughter, Brenda K. Stephens and husband Richard of Pocomoke City, MD; and one grandson, Nathan K. Stephens of Pocomoke City, MD.
Funeral Service and Entombment will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE, 19966 with the Reverend David Munro officiating.
