Donald Earl Hibbs' Obituary
Donald Earl Hibbs, Sr., age 85, of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born October 29, 1925 in Grand Rapids, MI, son of the late Clarence Eno and Carrie Mae (Raymond) Hibbs.
Mr. Hibbs honorably served his country during WW II with the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated his own photography business in Chicago, IL and Laurel, MD. He excelled in music from his youth and played his violin on a radio station. He played several musical instruments in bands throughtout his life. He also sold insurance and received a number of awards for his sales endeavors.
He is survived by his wife Susanne (Bowie) Hibbs; four children: Bruce, Sherry Heder, Bryan and Donald, Jr.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Norma Jean Burows.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nylon Blvd. at Fleet Drive, Seaford, DE with Bishop Kenneth Elkenton officiating. Interment will be private at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Briedgeville, DE.
