Doris & Donnie were such a wonderful addition to our church family...they brought so much joy with their caring & fun spirits...they LOVED people! I can still hear Doris' laugh...it was infectious....Doris loved children especially...and they loved her...so many many precious memories of spending time with them...we have kayaked together....been on mission trips together...serving the Lord together has been a wonderful experience. One mission trip in particular we were in Louisiana a year after Katrina had brought so much devastation...they both worked so hard for the kingdom of God...Doris helping in the kitchen and making us laugh and Donnie working so hard with the other men out in the field. While we were there we celebrated Donnie's 60th birthday at the church that hosted us...such a kind gentle soul. My husband spent time with Donnie on men's retreats...one in particular he speaks of all the time...where Donnie marveled at how my husband had a deer eating from his hand right outside the lodge... soon Donnie was able to feed the deer from his hand...he was like a child - so excited...he loved God's beauty of nature; hence his love for kayaking...both loved our Lord...the most precious memory of all...so blessed God put them in our lives.

We will be keeping their family and friends and others they have touched in our prayers as they grieve the loss of this precious couple...

I have known Doris and Donnie since the late 90's before they were married, and before they were even Christians. It is impossible to quantify the affect that their ministry has had on dozens of people including me. It has been an honor to know them and see them live their lives walking with Christ day by day, and I look forward to the time where we will be reunited together in that heavenly gathering.

What has been most impactful to me has been Doris' unceasing joy and positive nature about life. Her laughter is infectious and she had the unique ability to make people smile. What was most special about Donnie is how he recalls his relationship with Jesus. He was brought to tears each time he spoke, and he spoke often, about that amazing Grace that rescued him. He embodied the Jesus' teaching to approach the kingdom of God with a child-like faith, and inspired others to do so as well.

Another thing that I loved about Donnie and Doris was their ability to connect to people. They found friends wherever they went, and were a friend to many. They also had this ability to befriend children, teens and young adults. They have been a great encouragement to many generations.

While my heart breaks for the friends I will not longer see, I know this pain is a temporary one as we have a promise that has conquered the grave and has neutralized the sting of death. They have transitioned to immortality in the arms of their Creator.

The Williams' are praying for the family and large group of friends during this time.

Donnie was a very nice person and I enjoyed working with him at Playtex. I was glad when he met the women of his dreams and retired and moved down to the beach.

My husband and I met Don and Doris at Two Dips in Lewes. They were so happy together and both were always smiling and it was a pleasure to know them. We all could talk for hours and never ran out of a topic. They were both devoted to God and their church and it was a pleasure knowing them.
