Dominick T. Glorioso's Obituary
Dominick T. Glorioso, age 87, of Millsboro, DE, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at Renaissance Healthcare in Millsboro. He was born September 21, 1921 in Astoria, NY to the late Salvatore and Andrina (Giananti) Glorioso.
Mr. Glorioso served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a professional botanist and loved sport fishing. He was employed as a mason tender for many companies in Manhattan, NY, where he was the one to place the cornerstone on the United Nations Building; he worked on many of New York City's skyscrapers. Originally from Ozone Park, NY, Mr. Glorioso moved to Millsboro in April 2004. He was a member of Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church.
Mr. Glorioso is survived by his son, Richard and his wife, Nancy of Millsboro; two grandchildren, Alessandra Glorioso of Millsboro and Richard Glorioso, Jr. of Bear, DE; five sisters, Vera Raff and Marie Bednarski of Port St. Lucie, FL, Ann Bednarski of Astoria, NY, Catherine Deleno of Long Island, NY, and Sally Ariza of CA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rocco Glorioso and by his sister, Joan Noe.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Route 24 and Mount Joy Road, Millsboro, DE, where friends may call beginning at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
