Dominick Robert Carangio's Obituary
Dominick Robert Carangio, age 23 of Milton, DE, passed away tragically on Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born on August 7, 1999, in Pittsburgh, PA, son of Lisa Ann Carangio and the late Anthony Michael Carangio.
Dom attended Cape Henlopen High School and enjoyed a culinary career as a cook at various restaurants in the region, most recently at Ava’s Pizzeria in Rehoboth Beach. He loved all things outdoors, whether it was on his skateboard or skimboard, playing baseball with his brother, or riding his moped, which he spent many hours tinkering on and improving. Dom practiced karate and various martial arts and found the love of his life in his support dog, Scooby Doo, the pitbull. Above all, he cherished time spent with those he held most dear. Dom was a loving and devoted son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Loved by many, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his father, Dom was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert and Helen Kutrufis and Dominick Carangio; he is survived by his mother, Lisa Ann Carangio of Milton, DE; his siblings: Christopher LeGrand of Milton, DE, Brianna Carangio (Cameron Todd) of Milton, DE, and Aiden Cole of Milton, DE; his grandmother, Sandy Carangio of Zelienople, PA; his uncles: Brian Kutrufis (AJ) of McKees Rocks, PA and Nick Carangio (Melissa) of Pittsburgh, PA; his cousins: Tyler and Tommy Kutrufis and Jackson, Emory, and Addison Carangio; his dear friend, whom he considered a sister, Christina Schwobel; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
