Dolores M. Schrader's Obituary
Dolores Schrader, age 73, of Lewes, DE, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, DE. Ms. Schrader was born February 12, 1939 in Philadephia, PA, daughter of the late Lawrence Schrader and Elizabeth (Sherdon) Alcott.
Ms. Schrader was employed as an Administrative Assistant by Bell Atlantic in Columbia, MD for over 30 years; she retired in 1992 at which time she moved to the beach full-time. She honorably served her country with the U.S. Army and was a member of Am Vets. She enjoyed gardening and birds; she was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins.
She is survived by her four brothers: Ralph Alcott, Edward Schrader, Joel Alcott and Gary Alcott; three sisters: Linda Kramer, Deanna Diefenderfer and Andrea Santoso; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her brother James Schrader preceded her in death.
A Memorial Service with military honors will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
