Diane S. Bolin's Obituary
Diane S. Bolin, age 80 of Milton, DE passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born on March 26, 1943, in Caldwell, NJ, daughter of the late Delvin G. and Delores H. (Batty) Skinner.
Mrs. Bolin had lived in the Wilmington/ Claymont area of Delaware for 51 years, prior to moving to Lewes, DE in 2008. She built a career with the State of Delaware, retiring as a programmer with the New Castle County Public Schools after 30 dedicated years.
Mrs. Bolin was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, and her strong faith was a cornerstone of her life. A nurturer at heart, she was always on the lookout for those in need, volunteering for the Clothing Our Kids organization in Sussex County. Above all else, Mrs. Bolin treasured the time spent with those she held most dear. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Her memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Mrs. Bolin is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Richard Bolin; her son, Terry Bolin (Kimberly) of Wilmington, DE; her daughter, Cheryl Lowder (Wesley) of Youngsville, NC; her grandchildren: Kacie, Kristin, and Molly; her great grandchildren: Parker, Blake, and Jackson; and her siblings: Derek Skinner of Breesport, NY, Deb Dunlap (Mike) of Binghamton, NY, and Dee Patrick (David) of New Port Richey, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church, 129 W. 4th Street, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mrs. Bolin's memory to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, Georgetown Campus, 22918 Dupont Blvd, Georgetown, DE 19947.
