Diana Lynne Popovich's Obituary
Lynne Popovich, doting grandmother, age 66 of Lewes, DE passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare, in Lewes, DE. She was born on April 07, 1955, in Wilmington, DE, daughter of the late Donald and Joanna (Sculley) Watson.
Lynne built a career as an administrative assistant, working for M&T Bank, AIG Insurance, Farmers Insurance, 21st Century Insurance, and DuPont. She was a long-time member of Grace Episcopal Church in Wilmington.
Lynne loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren (to whom she was affectionately known as "D'Lynne"), friends, and going to the beach. Lynne also enjoyed bowling, pickleball, reading, crafting, beach combing and walking daily. Above all, Lynne enjoyed time spent with family and friends. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a dear friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Lynne was predeceased by her grandfather, Millard Clifton Watson and her grandmother, Eunice Lewis Watson.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Tom Popovich; her daughters: Jill E. Mills (Ryan) of Wilmington, DE, and Amy N. Popovich (Scott Keller) of Lewes, DE; her grandchildren: Makenna and Collin Mills of Wilmington, DE and Garrett Keller of Lewes, DE; her sisters: Lisa Risner (Dennis) of Wilmington, DE and Donna Watson (John Ohnstad) of Newark, DE; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A celebration of Lynne's Life will take place on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at 4:00 PM at Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant, 213 Anglers Road, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may visit following services until 6:00 PM. The family requests casual attire (Lynne wouldn't have it any other way!)
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Lynne's Memory to Beebe Medical Foundation, 902 Savannah Rd, Lewes, DE 19958, or American Heart Association, www.heart.org.
