I personally am Blessed to have had her in my life and know even though the years went by too fast, the time together was priceless. May you be at Peace now Des.

Many happy fun times were spent together over the 24 years of friendship. One that makes us laugh is the Thanksgiving we spent in Myrtle Beach camping in our Airstreams. Ours small - her’s big. We sat at the table Dez, Tom and us with 4 forks and a giant Costco pecan pie eating it together! We cant look at pecan pie without thinking of her! :) Gone way too soon and sadness gripes our hearts. In honor of her love of her many dogs a donation to a shelter will be made. And I honor of making a house a home a donation to Habitat for Humanity will be made. Our thoughts are with Tom at this very difficult and sad time. Jeff/ Candis
Regina and I are heartbroken over the loss of our dear friend Desirei and we want to extend our deepest sympathies to Tom, Desirei’s sisters and their entire family. She was such a joy to be around and always greeted you with a smile. We shared so many good stories about our family and friends and there was always time for a good laugh together. We looked forward to her passing by our house when she was out walking Lily and Ike or more recently when she was out with Sugar. We always knew that she was near as Zoey would start barking and crying when she spotted her more than 2 blocks from our house, waiting for Des to pet her and give her a belly rub. While Zoey enjoyed her belly rubs, I personally enjoyed our conversations together. In addition, we always appreciated the treats she baked for us like her breads, cookies and brownies and were surprised when either Des or Tom would drop by and give us the special treats she was so famous for.
Des showed her love for Tom in so many ways and I would consider them to be the ultimate soul mates. He will miss her dearly, as will everyone who had an opportunity to meet and speak with her. God has a special place in his house for you and may you rest in peace our dear friend.
