Delbert S. Morris' Obituary
Delbert S. "Del" Morris, age 86 of Seaford, Delaware, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford, Delaware. He was born on October 18, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Lucille Hatfield Morris.
Del served honorably in the US Army from 1956 until 1959, including 3 tours during the Korean War. He wed the love of his life, Marion, with whom he shared 53 years of love and marriage. Del was a past member of the American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro, and up until his passing, was an active member of the American Legion Post 6 and the APA Pool League, of which he was a team member of the "Good Olde Boys". He was very active with Toys for Tots and for many years brought joy to the residents of nursing homes, where he entertained as a clown.
In addition to his parents, Del was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marion Morris. He is survived by his grandsons: Christian Addor and Chris Reachard, both of Seaford, DE; several step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, all from various regions of the country.
A Chapel Committal will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way; Millsboro, DE 19966. A Celebration of Life will follow at American Legion Post 6, 230 Front Street; Seaford, DE.
