Delbert "Tony" Lee Nida's Obituary
Delbert "Tony" Lee Nida, 71, of Lewes, DE died Monday, January 30, 2006 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD. He was born July 16, 1934, in Covington, VA son of the late William Gordon Nida and the late Bertha Helen (Smith) Nida.
Mr. Nida met his beloved wife of 38 years, Martha (McMullin) Nida, in 1964; they married in 1967. They lived in Wilmington, DE until they retired to Lewes ten years ago. Tony loved hunting, fishing, and collecting Indian artifacts and statues. He loved sitting outside watching the birds and he was a great Pop Pop to his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Tina McMullin of Lewes; two grandchildren, Timothy and Crystal; one great-grandchild and another on the way; his brother Robert Nida of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Staret Nida and his sister Ruby Kirby as well as his parents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2006, 2:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Pastor Charlie Arnold will be officiating. Interment will be private.
