David F. Yetman's Obituary
David F. Yetman, age71, of Harbeson, passed away on Tuesday May 6, 2014 at Beebe Health Care. Mr. Yetman was born November 1, 1942 in Brooklyn, New York, son of the late Walter B. and Gladys Lawrence Yetman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yetman was preceded in death by his most beautiful bride of 42 years, Virginia Carol and his older brother Francis.
Dave was a graduate of the University of Maryland in 1972 and retired from the National Security Agency with a combined Naval and civilian career of over 35 years.
After retirement, Dave was a substitute teacher in both the Cape Henlopen School District and Indian River School District. For a time, Dave also served as the Secretary of the Midway Lions Club and also served as the Finance Officer at the American Legion Post 28 in Millsboro.
Dave enjoyed playing golf, fishing and traveling in their motor home until his bride went to meet the Lord. Dave leaves behind a son Steve and his wife Tiffany and daughter Anna of Sykesville, Maryland; a daughter, Amanda Ludwig and her husband William and children Colin and Olivia of Chandler, Arizona; an identical twin brother, Don and his wife Ann of Willsboro, New York; his sister-in-law Margaret of Columbia, South Carolina; a sister, Suzann of Plattsburgh, New York; five nephews, two nieces and one great nephew.
Committal Services with Military Honors will be held at the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE on Friday May 9, 2014 at 2PM.
In lieu of flowers contributions are suggested to American Legion Building Fund, Post 28, 31768 Legion Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
