David L. Wright's Obituary
David L. Wright ~ Avid Fisherman
David L. Wright, age 56 of Milton, DE, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at his home, after a long battle with brain cancer. He was born on Friday, September 8, 1961 in Wilmington, DE, son of the late Roy and Nancy (Eashum) Wright.
Dave grew up in Newark, DE and vacationed in Lewes and Rehoboth Beach throughout his childhood. As a teenager he would catch bait and sell it to local stores.
While working for Super Fresh in Newark, Dave was delighted to be transfered to the Rehoboth Beach location, as his passions were always fishing and boating. He worked as a store director for Super Fresh, then Acme in Ocean City, MD. He was loved and appreciated by his coworkers. Above all, Dave cherished the time spent with his family and dear friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who was loved by many and will be genuinely missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy King. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy "Dottie" (Zink) Wright; his children: Nicole, Dylan, and Lance; and his grandchildren: Jameson and Benjamin.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Irish Eyes Pub and Restaurant, 213 Anglers Road; Lewes, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Dave's memory to Delaware Hospice: 100 Patriots Way; Milford, DE 19963.
