David Charles Luther Vessels' Obituary
David Charles Luther Vessels, of Lewes, Delaware, formerly of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, passed away at Beebe Hospital on July 26, 2026. He was born on July 17, 1949, the son of Luther Rhodes Vessels, Jr. and the former Elizabeth Jane Jones of Baltimore, Maryland.
David grew up in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, and graduated from Rehoboth Special School District, Class of 1967. After finishing high school, he attended Delaware Technical Community College in Georgetown, Delaware.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1969 to 1970. He worked for Brandywine Electric in Milton, Delaware, and Tony's TV in Milton, Delaware.
He also owned and operated Cape Henlopen TV Service in Lewes from 1975 to 1996. He was known for his electrical and electronics knowledge and was considered one of the best technicians in the area. He learned much about color television and obtained his First Class Radiotelephone License from the FCC.
David is survived by numerous cousins on both sides of his family, as well as his caretaker, Bionca Maricott.
The family would also like to acknowledge the nurses and staff at Beebe Medical Center for their care.
