I was his campaign manager when he ran for and won the student council presidency in 1961 at Mount Pleasant. senior High School. I have told many people that I am responsible for all his successes in life , but everyone who knows both of us knows that Dave won because he was likeable, smart and just an all around nice person. I suspect that those three characteristics have served him very well over his entire life.
