David Bruce Chamberlain Sr.'s Obituary
David Bruce Chamberlain Sr., age 67 of Laurel, DE, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021 at his home. He was born in Baltimore, MD, on October 24, 1953, son of the late Joseph Edward Chamberlain and Anna May Broaders.
A proud veteran, Mr. Chamberlain honorably and actively served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Following his service to his country, he built a career as a plumber/pipefitter. Mr. Chamberlain's greatest achievement, however, was the close, loving family he and his wife created. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be deeply and genuinely missed by all that had the opportunity to know him.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Chamberlain was preceded in death by his brothers: Joseph E. Chamberlain and Lawrence S. Chamberlain. He is survived by his beloved wife of more than 40 years, Cathy Chamberlain; his son, David B. Chamberlain, Jr; his daughter, Cathy L. O'Neil (Martin P. Jr.); his granddaughters: Shelby C. O'Neil-Ward and Kelsey N. O'Neil; his great-grandsons: Dominic J. Ward and Anthony J. Ward; his sisters: Donna L. Krammer, Pamela S. Chamberlain-Messick, and Joanne E. Chamberlain; and his many nieces and nephews.
Services will be private, with interment at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery, Hurlock, MD.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Mr. Chamberlain's memory to Disabled American Veterans, 101 North Gay Street, Suite B, Baltimore, MD 21202.
