David William Brown, age 81, of Lewes, DE passed away on Friday, February 17, 2017, at home with his wife and son close to him in Lewes, DE. He was born Saturday, February 8, 1936 in Germantown, PA, son of the late David and Edith Brown.
Mr. Brown proudly served in the National Guard. He worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He was employed with Matlack driving an 18 wheel Tanker for 35 years, he drove the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Shuttle for 15 years and he was a school bus driver for three years.
Mr. Brown is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patricia Ann Brown ( Nee Bryan) and his sons, David, Stephen, Richard and Ronald Brown.
Dave loved driving, he was superman with an 18 wheeled steel tanker, adored by the children like a father as a school bus driver, and his favorite was driving the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Shuttle. Dave loved playing cards, loved his John Wayne westerns and old classics, football and the Dallas Cowboys, teaching the grandkids his Duncan Yo-Yo champ level skills, and his ultimate passion and reason for living was to teach and provide for his family and honor love and cherish his adored wife Patricia Ann.
