Darryl Gerrard Depasquale Sr.'s Obituary
Darryl Gerald DePasquale Sr., age 75, of Milton, passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was just days away from celebrating his 76th birthday.
Born on May 9, 1950, in South Philadelphia, Darryl was the beloved son of the late Charles DePasquale and Elvira "Fabio" DePasquale. He attended high school and later pursued trade school studies before dedicating much of his life to the things he loved most—music, faith, and family.
A gifted bass guitarist and passionate musician, Darryl considered music not only his favorite job, but his life's calling. He faithfully served on Church Worship Teams throughout many local churches, sharing his talents on Friday nights, Saturday evenings, and Sundays. His love for worship and prayer touched countless lives, and he was known by many as a devoted prayer warrior whose faith remained steadfast through every season of life.
Darryl was married to his beloved wife, Deborah Jayne Delullo, for nearly eight years. At the time of his passing, they were only five days away from celebrating their 8th wedding anniversary. Throughout his life, he remained deeply devoted to his family and his relationship with God.
In addition to his parents, Darryl was preceded in death by Rose (Melso) Beers, the mother of his children.
He is survived by his spouse, Deborah Jayne Delullo; his children, Darryl Gerald DePasquale Jr., Joseph DePasquale (Rachel), and CarlaRose DePasquale Smoker (Mark); and his cherished grandchildren: Anastasia Emilia DePasquale, Alexa Kathryn DePasquale, Lavinia Rose Charles (Daniel), Evangelyn Grace Smoker, Mark Allan Smoker, Tessa Joy Smoker, Talia Jade Smoker, Jamin Christopher DePasquale, Evelyn Rose Harbeson, and Aiden Christopher DePasquale, along with a grandson expected in July.
He is also survived by his beloved great-grandchildren: Maverik Daniel Charles, Saelah Jace Charles, and Elijah Nathaniel DePasquale, as well as a great-granddaughter expected in September.
Darryl will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his gentle spirit, his love of music, and the joy he found in praising God with others. His legacy lives on through the family he loved dearly and the many lives he touched through worship, prayer, and friendship.
A celebration of Darryl's life will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Eagles Nest Church, 26633 Zion Church Road, Milton, DE 19968.
