Danny Charles Jenkins' Obituary
Beloved Husband and Father, Danny Charles Jenkins, age 62 of Milton, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, June 24, 2022.
Born on November 13, 1959, in Boynton Beach, FL, he was the eldest son of Earnest Charles Jenkins and the late Judith Cianfaglione. Though born in South Florida, Danny’s heart was in the North East. He spent much of his childhood in Maryland, raised primarily by his steadfast great-grandmother, Leona Broll, who he attributed with much of his success in life.
Mr. Jenkins was a proud veteran, having honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1977 to 1983. A decorated Sergeant, he received nine metals and was stationed for 18 months in Okinawa, Japan. Following his service, he built a lifelong career in law enforcement, receiving 58 letters of commendation, and retiring as a Sheriff’s Officer in Palm Beach County, Florida in 2005. After relocating to Delaware, Mr. Jenkins became an active member of the Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge in Lewes.
Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and two dogs. His unmatched sense of humor turned strangers into friends, and his kindness knew no limits. He was always sure to tell those he loved how he felt, and how proud he was of his family. A wonderful husband, father, and friend to many, he will be deeply missed by all who had the good fortune to know him.
Mr. Jenkins is survived by his best friend and wife of 26 years, Stephanie Jenkins; his son, Daniel Jenkins, and his son-in-law, Alan Gallardo.
