Dannie Kenneth Card's Obituary
Dannie Kenneth Card, age 75 of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Delaware Hospice, in Milford, DE. He was born on November 15, 1945, in Milford, DE, son of the late Kenneth and May Estelle (Drumheller) Card.
Mr. Card was a Merchant Marine for 42 years. His career started at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry followed by Sun Oil, Interstate Transport, Maritrans, Vane Brothers, Dan Towing, and ending as a tugboat captain at Moran Towing.
Mr. Card is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Susan (Bartlett) Card; his sons: Dannie K. Card and his wife Vicky, John Walls, John Vassalotti and his husband Chris Young; his daughter, Laura Paller and her husband Andy; his sister, Shirley Loftland; his nine grandchildren; his several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Harley.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 3:00 PM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE, where friends may visit beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required to be worn by any and all persons participating in any aspect of the services.
