John Daubert
Danny, as I knew hm, called me when I was 15, and he, 17. Danny was the drummer for first, "The Sound Squad" then "All Rights Reserved", Breakwater Bay, and then numerous fill ins, usually with john Plumley. It was when Danny was in "All Rights Reserved" that he called me to ask if I wanted to tryout for THEE band in the Del-Val area, already winning Battle Of The Bands. Danny saw me play light My Fire on the accordion. So, when he heard that I got a portable organ, he wanted to see if I would come to their practice to play that, and see how it goes. Well, Danny made me feel so relaxed, despite my two years difference than than all the rest of the OLDER guys. He was all smiles. I felt NO pressure. But, there I was, with that legend of a band already. Yet, Danny, and the guys under his leadership, and with his best friend, John Plumley, made me feel as if that band was a brotherhood, and I seems already welcomed in it. That is one day I have so strongly in my memory, mostly because of Danny Paul. SO many stories of the many gigs. RIP Danny Paul. And, condolences to Nancy, and the whole family, and extended family. And of course, to all of his friends, who also share in the loss of a great friend. John Daubert
