I have many but one of my favorite memories was when he was maybe 6 or 7 and we were camping at Gull’s Way. If anything Daniel was honest and vocal !! We went into town to pick up our pizza and the parking area was full so Bill told me to park alongside the road which was too close to a stop sign which I warned Bill about doing but he said you’ll be in and out in no time.
While in there waiting in line for our pizza, a state trooper came in and smiled at me very funny. Back in the car Bill told me that Daniel piped up “Donna told my dad we shouldn’t park here”. He didn’t write us a ticket for that and I think it was because the cop was so tickled with him offering that information. Those years were some of the best !!
Of course when he was all grown and had a family of his own - it was his sharing of his beautiful daughters with us and watching him fuss over his Pop’s first holding of them. They were his treasures.
And on a personal note his special relationship with his nephews John and Jacob growing up over the years, hunting and fishing with them. We’ll miss you so much
