As a Co-Worker Dan always made work more fun. As a Friend Dan would do anything he could for you. Dan will be sorely missed by Anyone who knew Him!!

P.S. I will always have fond memories of our Fishing Trips with our mutual Friend and Co-Worker "Captain John" (John Turner - John had the Grady-White Fishing Boat). I guess you could call us the "The Three Musketeers" both on the Job and on our fishing trips cruising the Delaware Bay in search of flounder.
I moved to the DuPont Beech Street office in March of 1994. Dan was in the group I supported. He was a good friend and colleague who will be missed. Thinking of you all and sending my prayers. Pam Griest
We knew Dan as Patty Silver Tompkins' husband. We would all get together and reconnect a few times a year, while we were all living in Millboro and Georgetown, DE. They were such a good couple. Patty will miss him so much. Kathy and Charles Pickering.
So sorry for your loss. I met Dan in 1978 when he interviewed and eventually hired me to work in his group at DuPont EDL on Beech street in Wilmington. It was a small group but a great bunch of guys. Dan always treated me with respect and was a great teacher of all things electrical. I worked for him for over 25 years and enjoyed the fun and challenging work. And the stories he told of friends and family. I'm glad he was able to enjoy his time at the beach in his later years. I hope you can all cherish fond memories of him as time goes on.

I enjoyed working with Dan both in Wilmington and the field. He knew his "trade" and created many memories that make me smile to this day.
