Dana Marie Vickers' Obituary
Dana Marie Vickers (nee Border) passed away Wednesday August 6th surrounded by immediate family. She is survived by her husband and soulmate, Darwin (Bumper) Vickers; her daughter, Nancy and her spouse Justin; son, Donald; granddaughter, Scarlett; Uncle and best friend, Terry Border and his husband Eric; parents, John C. Border and Nancy Bollinger; beloved brother, Jeffrey Border and his wife Jennie; cousin, Martha Bratton Fye and her family; brother, Keith and his wife Melody; and a slew of other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Dana was loved by so many. She was a rock for her family and those close to her. She loved living at the beach in Delaware and spending time with her family, friends, and her best friend Ashley who lived nearby with her daughter. Her granddaughter Scarlett was the light of her life and her long phone conversations kept her smiling for days. She loved being a homemaker and cooking Sunday dinner for family.
Dana was born in Everett, PA, later settling in Rutherford, NJ, attending grade through high school there where she met her husband and raised her family. Dana’s career spanned decades, starting with the NJ DMV and O’Sullivan Menu Communications from which she retired to enjoy beach life.
Due to the state of our country during the Covid-19 pandemic, Dana’s family has decided to hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
