Cynthia Lynn Queenin's Obituary
Cynthia “Cindy” Lynn Queenin, age 65 of Bridgeville, DE and formerly of Bowie, MD, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1955 in Washington, DC, daughter of the late Robert E. and Anne T. Crowel.
Cindy attended St. Patrick’s Academy in Washington, DC and graduated with the class of 1973. She worked as a Senior Operations Clerk with AT&T Long Lines for 15 years and had a second career as a medical assistant for Dr. J. Solomon for 10 years. She also dedicated 20 years as a volunteer, teaching CCD at Sacred Heart Parish in Bowie, MD.
Cindy’s interests were many and varied. She enjoyed watching NASCAR races, both on tv and as an in-person spectator. An avid gardener, her green thumb was evidenced by her beautiful gardens. Cindy also loved the beach, dipping her toes in the ocean and soaking up the sun on the sand. Above all, she cherished time spent with those she held most dear. Cindy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Cindy is survived by her beloved husband, Daniel “Danny” Queenin of Bridgeville, DE; her children: Tara Queenin of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Laura Todd (Paul) of Dundalk, MD, Aimee Jarrett (Jordan) of Ridgely, MD, and Joseph Queenin of Annapolis, MD; her 7 grandchildren; her siblings: Sharon Wood, David Crowel, Robin Davis, Linda Crowel, and Megan Sawyer; and her many nieces and nephews.
