CLYDE D. SCHNACK, a 45 year Federal Bureaucrat, US Fish and Wildlife Service
Clyde Dwight Schnack, 82, a retired Chief, Branch of Acquisition Management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Division of Realty, Department of the Interior, passed away at home on Sunday, November 29, 2015. He had congestive heart failure his wife Grace H. Schnack said.
Mr. Schnack served in the U.S. Army, as a medic, in 1953 and 1954 at U.S. Army Headquarters, 14th Armored Calvary in Fulda, Germany.
Clyde Schnack, who lived in Rehoboth Beach, retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in 1995.
He was born in Chicago, IL, and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry in 1956. Clyde was also a member of Delta Chapter Xi Sigma Pi.
Mr. Schnack is survived by his wife of 43 years, Grace Hartman Schnack; two children, Dennis Schnack and Gregory Schnack; three step children, Andrea Oscarson, Wendy Oscarson-Kirchner and Edward Oscarson and seven grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958, where friends may visit beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
