Clinton Dunbar Gross' Obituary
Clinton Dunbar Gross, age 102, of Milton, DE, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born April 6, 1907 in Hazleton, PA, son of the late John and Sally (Yost) Gross.
Mr. Gross proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam war retiring as a Lt. Col. Following his military service, he worked for the Department of Defense at the Pentagon for many years. He was a 32nd degree Mason having joined in Oklahoma He received a 50 year award from the Grand Lodge of Oklahoma in 1943. He was also a member of the Shriners.
Mr. Gross is survived by his wife Sukie Shin Gross of Milton and a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. John Gross and his wife Jill of Monson, MA.
Masonic services followed by Christian Services will be held Monday,December 7, 2009, 11:00 AM, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE. Burial with military honors will follow at the Chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
