Clentie M. Jacobson's Obituary
Clentie Murray Jacobson, age 94, of Bridgeville, DE entered into rest after a short illness Thursday afternoon, September 7, 2006 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford, DE. She was born and reared in Augusta, Georgia and had worked for the Federal Service for several years before retiring in Brooklyn, New York. She eventually moved to Delaware to be near her daughter.
She was the last of seven surviving children of the Rev. J. E. Murray and Mrs. Gertgrude Stigger Murray of Augusta, GA. She was a devoted mother and a good Christian and loving friend. She was loved by all those who came in contact with her and will be missed.
Survivors include her only daughter, Yvars D. Shuey of Bridgeville; one niece, Cheryl Cooper Howard of Viera, FL; grandnephews, Rev. Trent Carr, Lyndon Carr, Dr. W. J. Walker Jr. , Charles Walker, Barry Walker, Ronald Norwood; grandnieces, Saundra Hood, Marlene Redd, Constance Rouse, Adrian Williams; cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at 2:00 PM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be private.
