Loved her family and all animals
Claudia Ann Sandberg, 75, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2023, after a long struggle with dementia. She was born on March 7, 1947, at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland, daughter of the late Dr. John F. and Mrs. Olive Shronts.
Claudia grew up in Edina Minnesota, graduating from Edina High School and the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree. Claudia’s career as an executive assistant spanned 30 years until she retired from Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, MD. She resided in Edina, Minnesota until 1987 when she and her husband moved to Severna Park, MD. They lived there until 2011, when they made Lewes, Delaware their permanent residence. Prior to her diagnosis, Claudia was a docent at the Salisbury Zoo in Maryland. In later years, she and her husband were seen walking her terriers in their Lewes community of Webb’s Landing. Claudia and Warren are members of The Crossing Church, Milton, DE.
In addition to her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. John "Jack" S. Shronts. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Warren Sandberg; her son, Ross Sandberg (Kim) of Middletown, MD; and her brother, Dr. Richard Shronts (Ann) of Stillwater, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 1:00 PM, at The Crossing Church, 15183 Coastal Highway, Milton, DE.
