Clark E. Woodring Jr.'s Obituary
Clark E. Woodring, age 85, of Rehoboth Beach, DE passed away peacefully on Friday, February 10, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Thursday, July 23, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late, Clark E. Woodring, Sr. and Edith (McNeill) Woodring.
Mr. Woodring was a graduate of Brown Technical School in Wilmington, DE, where he learned his trade as a painter and wallpaper hanger of Local Union 100. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served for 4 years.
Mr. Woodring was a member of the Lewes Radio Controlled Airplane Club, where he built and flew airplanes, as well as the Delaware Radio Control Club in New Castle County. He was also a member of the American Legion, Post 28 in Millsboro, DE and Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Mr. Woodring is survived by his devoted wife, of 61 years, Harriet N. Woodring, of Rehoboth Beach, DE; his two sons, Clark E. Woodring, III (Diana) and Mark E. Woodring (Cindy); his daughter, Carol E. Tedesco; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; as well as his sister, Nancy Buchanan.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Epworth United Methodist Church, 19285 Holland Glade Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM.
Burial will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM, at Gracelawn Cemetery, 2220 N Dupont Parkway, New Castle, DE 19720.
